Crying is een cover van het gelijknamige nummer van Roy Orbison uit 1961. Deze originele uitvoering is terug te vinden op het album Crying uit 1962. Roy Orbison scoorde met zijn uitvoering een nummer 2-hit in de Amerikaanse Billboard Hot 100.
Een jaar na de Tipparadenotering van Saskia & Serge scoorde Don McLean een nummer 1-hit met zijn uitvoering. In 1985 kwam het nummer nogmaals in de belangstelling te staan toen Gerard Joling het nummer vertolkte in de Soundmixshow en daarmee op de derde plaats eindigde.
