Benson Boone is een uit de Verenigde Staten afkomstige singer-songwriter. Hij nam deel aan de auditie van American Idol in 2021. De jury was lovend en hij mocht door naar de volgende ronde. Echter besloot Boone de show te verlaten. Een reden is hiervoor nooit gegeven en er volgde verschillende speculaties. Zijn TikTok account had in oktober al meer dan 1,7 miljoen volgers.

Hij tekende vervolgens een platencontract bij Night Street Records, het label van Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds. De ballad Ghost Town is een van zijn eerste liedjes die hij schreef en op single uitbracht. Dit leverde hem wereldwijd een zeer succesvolle hit op. De opvolger Room for 2 kon dit succes niet evenaren. Eind april 2022 waagt hij weer een poging met de single In The Stars en het resultaat mag er zijn. Het wordt een mega hit en weet in de lijst op nummer 3 te komen. In de herfst van 2022 dropt hij de single Before You.

In maart 2023 brengt hij met Sugar Sweet zijn eerste single van het jaar uit.
